Positives & Negatives

Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 October 2026

These terms cover the apps Positives and Negatives for macOS and this website, made by Giacomo Ancora, an individual developer based in Italy. By downloading or using the apps you agree to them.

Free and open source

The apps are free. They are free software, licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3 (GPL-3.0): you may use them for any purpose, including professional work, and you may study, share and change them under the conditions of that licence. If anything in these terms conflicts with the GPL-3.0, the GPL-3.0 applies. Parts made by others are used under their own licences, listed in Third-party notices and in each app under Help → Credits & Licences.

Your photos

Your photos and everything you make with the apps belong to you. The apps never claim any right over them.

No warranty

The apps are provided "as is", without any warranty, as stated in the GPL-3.0. They are made with care and tested, but they may contain mistakes. Keep your own backups of your photos; the apps never change your original files.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damage or loss arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the apps or this website. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

Official downloads

The only official downloads are on this website and on the project's GitHub Releases page. Copies from other places may have been changed.

Support

Support through Buy Me a Coffee is voluntary and does not buy a licence, extra features or a service: the apps are the same for everyone. Payments are processed by Buy Me a Coffee under its own terms.

Trademarks

Film and brand names (Kodak, Fujifilm, Ilford, Agfa, Polaroid, CineStill and their film names) are trademarks of their owners. They are used only to say which film a look resembles. Positives and Negatives are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Changes and contact

If these terms change, the new version will be published on this page with a new date. Questions: open an issue on GitHub.
